How to Have Youthful Baby Skin? Dr. Nono Challenges You to Prove the Biostimulator Program, Collagen Stimulator, at Entrio Clinic, Aesthetic Clinic Ratchaprasong

Hello everyone! This is Dr. Nono, Dr. Chonrapat Chinvechkijvanich, M.D., W.60686, speaking again. From Entrio Clinic, an aesthetic medical clinic in the heart of Ratchaprasong, an area full of vitality and people who always seek to look their best. Here, we believe in offering modern, safe, and truly distinctive aesthetic technologies.

As a physician who has been involved in the field of aesthetics and anti-aging medicine for quite some time, I have seen the strong desire of people to maintain their youthfulness and correct the signs of aging that appear on their skin. Skin problems that come with age, including sagging, wrinkles, dull-looking skin, or skin that lacks volume, are like stories of time etched on our skin, which many people want to "rewrite" or "correct" to look youthful again.

In the past, when addressing these problems, many people might think of surgical facelifts, using fillers to add volume, or various lifting machines, each with its own advantages and limitations. But in the past few years, there has been one innovation that is particularly noteworthy and has received a lot of attention in the field of dermatology, which is the group of Biostimulators or collagen stimulators (liquid threads).

Why are Biostimulators interesting? And how are they different from fillers or other procedures? Today, Dr. Nono would like to "challenge you to prove" and delve deeply into the story of Biostimulators so that everyone can truly understand how this innovation can give you youthful baby skin and why Biostimulators are a worthwhile long-term investment for skin rejuvenation at Entrio Clinic, Aesthetic Clinic Ratchaprasong.

This article is not just academic information; I will tell it through my own experience, with examples, so that everyone can visualize and understand the amazing potential of these collagen stimulators and how they can bring your skin back to life again. Follow along!

Understanding "Aging Skin"... When the "Structure" and "Springs" of the Skin Degrade

After we've touched upon the desire for youthful baby skin and the challenge of the signs of aging, today we will understand the true "root cause" of aging skin in detail. This is to clearly see why targeted skin care is important and why Biostimulators, collagen stimulators, play a crucial role in skin rejuvenation in the present era.

Try to picture our skin when we were young. Baby skin looks very firm, plump, clear, and elastic. When you press it with your finger, it feels bouncy and quickly returns to its original shape. This is because in youth, our skin is full of essential substances that are components of the skin structure and work together at their peak efficiency. These essential substances are Collagen, Elastin, and Hyaluronic Acid (HA).

Understanding "Aging Skin"... When the "Structure" and "Springs" of the Skin Degrade
Understanding "Aging Skin"... When the "Structure" and "Springs" of the Skin Degrade

To make it easy to visualize, think of our skin as a "building".

  • Collagen

These are the "main pillars," "beams," and "steel structure" that support our skin building. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, especially in the dermis layer, which is located beneath the epidermis. Collagen fibers are strong and interwoven, providing strength to the skin, preventing sagging, and keeping it smooth. The collagen most abundant in the dermis is Type I collagen, which provides strength, and Type III collagen, which provides elasticity in youth.

  1. Elastin

If collagen is the main structure, elastin is like the "springs" or "elastic bands" interspersed within the collagen structure. Elastin gives our skin high elasticity, allowing it to stretch and quickly return to its original shape. Imagine new elastic bands; when we pull them, they stretch a lot and bounce back immediately. Skin with enough elastin looks bouncy, doesn't wrinkle easily, and doesn't develop permanent folds from facial expressions.

  1. Hyaluronic Acid (HA)

This substance is not just structure, but like "water" or "gel" that fills the gaps between collagen and elastin fibers. HA has the ability to absorb and hold a large amount of water, making our skin look plump, hydrated, radiant, and smooth. HA also helps skin cells function normally and is part of the basic structure that helps the skin look firm.

And the "contractors" or "builders" who create these structures and springs are cells called Fibroblasts. These tiny cells are located in the dermis and are responsible for producing collagen, elastin, HA, and other substances important for skin health.

When the "Skin Building" Starts to Deteriorate... The Signs of Aging Appear

But as time passes, especially after the age of 25, our body's processes begin to change. The factories that produce collagen and elastin, the Fibroblast cells, start to slow down, their efficiency in producing these essential substances decreases, and at the same time, the rate of breakdown of existing collagen and elastin increases. Various external factors accelerate this process even further.

When the "Skin Building" Starts to Deteriorate... The Signs of Aging Appear
When the "Skin Building" Starts to Deteriorate... The Signs of Aging Appear

External Factors Accelerating Deterioration

  • Sunlight (UV Radiation)

UV radiation from sunlight is one of the biggest culprits. It directly damages collagen and elastin fibers, weakening the skin structure and also stimulating enzymes that break down collagen (Matrix Metalloproteinases - MMPs) to work more, like accelerating the decay of the building's structure.

  • Pollution

PM2.5 dust, smoke, and chemicals in the air are also agents that create free radicals, damaging skin cells and essential collagen and elastin fibers.

  • Stress

Chronic stress affects hormones in the body and stimulates inflammation, which damages skin cells and essential protein fibers.

  • Inappropriate Lifestyle Habits

Such as smoking (toxins in cigarettes damage collagen, constrict capillaries that supply blood to the skin, making skin look dull), lack of sleep, unhealthy diet (especially high sugar intake, leading to Glycation).

  • Glycation Process

When blood sugar levels are high, sugar attaches to collagen and elastin fibers, making these fibers stiff, brittle, inelastic, and unable to function fully, like the steel structure in a building starting to rust and lose elasticity.

The result of decreased collagen, elastin, and HA, along with attacks from external factors, is that our "skin building" begins to show signs of deterioration. These signs appear in various forms that we can clearly observe

  • Skin Sagging: When the "main pillars" like collagen are reduced and weak, the skin lacks support. Gravity pulls the skin down, causing problems like droopy cheeks, hanging double chin, drooping eyelids, lowered eyebrows, and an undefined jawline. Sagging can be of various degrees, from slight to severe.

  • Wrinkles:

    • Fine Lines: Occur when elastin decreases and the skin lacks elasticity, causing small folds when making facial expressions, such as crow's feet at the corners of the eyes, forehead lines, frown lines between the eyebrows. Initially, these lines disappear when facial expressions stop.

    • Deep Wrinkles & Folds: If fine lines are not treated and the skin continuously loses collagen/elastin, the folds from facial expressions will gradually deepen into permanent lines that are visible at all times. Also, volume loss in the skin layers contributes to deeper nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and under-eye hollows that become more pronounced.

  • Volume Loss: Besides the decrease in collagen and HA, the breakdown of subcutaneous fat in some areas, such as the cheeks, temples, and under the eyes, also contributes to the face looking hollow, tired, and lacking plumpness. It's like internal components of the building are missing, making the overall structure look incomplete.

  • Loss of Firmness: When both collagen and elastin decrease, the skin loses strength and elasticity, making it feel soft and less firm than before. When you touch it, you might feel a slight looseness.

  • Uneven Texture / Enlarged Pores: The slowing down of skin cell turnover, the accumulation of pigment, and the lack of hydration from reduced HA also contribute to pores looking more prominent, and the overall skin looking less refined and smooth than before. Problems with acne scars or other scars may also become more visible when the skin structure is weak.

  • Dullness / Lack of Radiance: Slower skin cell turnover, pigment accumulation, and lack of moisture from decreased HA all make the overall skin look dull, lack radiance, and appear tired.

These problems are not just concerning for external beauty; they also reflect the health of the skin at the cellular level. The continuous loss of collagen, elastin, and HA makes the overall skin weaker, slower to recover, and less able to protect itself from external factors.

Biostimulator: The Key... To "Awaken" the Skin to Create Collagen and Elastin "On Its Own"!

Let's move on to the heart of this article! After we've understood the degradation of the "structure" and "springs" of the skin, which are the root causes of various signs of aging, including sagging, wrinkles, and volume loss, the next question is: How can we make the skin strong again and have youthful baby skin sustainably?

In the past, methods to address these problems often focused on immediately "filling" the sunken areas with fillers, which are mostly Hyaluronic Acid, or using machines that emit energy to stimulate the contraction of existing collagen and stimulate new creation to some extent. These also provided good results, but the results might be just a "temporary repair" or "support" and not truly addressing the "root cause," which is our body's decreasing ability to produce collagen and elastin.

This is where the Biostimulator (liquid thread) innovation changes the game!

For me, Dr. Nono, at Entrio Clinic, Aesthetic Clinic Ratchaprasong, I see Biostimulators as the key to "awakening" your skin's hidden potential to work fully again. It's like restarting the "collagen and elastin factory" in your skin!

Biostimulator: The Key... To "Awaken" the Skin to Create Collagen and Elastin "On Its Own"!
Biostimulator: The Key... To "Awaken" the Skin to Create Collagen and Elastin "On Its Own"!

What are Biostimulators? Get to Know the "Fibroblast Power Awakener"

Biostimulator (liquid thread) or collagen stimulator is a group of substances that are biocompatible with the human body and can degrade naturally. When injected into the skin layer, their function is not to immediately replace lost tissue like traditional fillers.

The primary function of Biostimulators is to "stimulate" Fibroblast cells, the main cells in the dermis that produce collagen, elastin, and Hyaluronic Acid (HA), as well as other components essential for the Extracellular Matrix (ECM) or the basic structure outside the skin cells.

Mechanism of "Awakening" Fibroblast Power by Biostimulators

When these collagen stimulators are injected into the skin layer, the working mechanism varies depending on the type of Biostimulator. But generally, it relies on similar principles:

  1. Creating a Micro-environment Favorable for Stimulation

Some Biostimulators, such as Sculptra or Radiesse, which are in the form of small particles, create a micro-environment in the tissue when injected into the skin that stimulates a cellular response.

  1. Direct Signaling to Fibroblasts

The active substances in Biostimulators are recognized by Fibroblast cells and send signals through various biochemical mechanisms within the cells to "awaken" these cells to work actively again, overcoming the slowdown due to aging.

  1. Stimulating the Production of New Collagen and Elastin

When Fibroblasts are stimulated, they begin the process of synthesizing and secreting proteins, which are Type I and Type III collagen that provide strength and elasticity, as well as elastin fibers that help the skin bounce back.

  1. Remodeling the Extracellular Matrix (ECM)

Besides collagen and elastin, Fibroblasts also produce other components of the ECM. Stimulating Fibroblasts is therefore "remodeling the skin structure" at a deeper level than just filling. This makes the overall skin stronger, firmer, more organized, and improves its quality.

  1. Gradual and Natural Results

Since the true results are from the body "creating" collagen and elastin on its own, this process takes time. Results usually start to show slight changes in several weeks and gradually become fully apparent in several months (usually around 1-3 months or longer, depending on the type of Biostimulator and individual response). The special feature of these gradual results is that the skin improves naturally, looking like it's "truly younger" without anyone knowing what was done.

Deep Dive into Biostimulator Types at Entrio Clinic, Aesthetic Clinic Ratchaprasong... "Challenge You to Prove" and Choose What's Right for You!

Now that we've understood the basic function of Biostimulators, collagen stimulators, which are like the key to "awakening" the skin's power to create collagen and elastin naturally, it's time to "challenge you to prove" the amazing properties of each type of Biostimulator.

The reason I, Dr. Nono, at Entrio Clinic, choose to offer a variety of collagen stimulators, not just one type, is because I believe that each individual's skin problems and needs are specific. Each type of Biostimulator has different active substances, working mechanisms, and outstanding results. Choosing the "right" Biostimulator for your problem will lead to the most targeted and effective results for youthful baby skin and skin rejuvenation.

Let's delve into each type of Biostimulator to see its properties and who it is suitable for.

1. Sculptra: The Mother of Biostimulators... Focuses on Creating Lasting Volume and Structure

Sculptra: The Mother of Biostimulators... Focuses on Creating Lasting Volume and Structure
Sculptra: The Mother of Biostimulators... Focuses on Creating Lasting Volume and Structure
  • Active Substance and Specific Properties

Sculptra contains Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA), a synthetic polymer that is biocompatible with the body and can degrade naturally. PLLA in Sculptra is not in the form of a gel or clear liquid like traditional fillers; it comes in the form of small particles that must be mixed with sterile water before injection.

  • In-depth Mechanism

When Sculptra, which contains PLLA particles, is injected into the deep dermis or subcutaneous layer, the PLLA particles create a micro-environment in the tissue and stimulate a continuous biological response. The main mechanism is stimulating Fibroblast cells to create a large amount of new Type I collagen. Type I collagen is the main collagen that provides strength and volume in the skin in youth. PLLA particles gradually degrade over several months, leaving behind the strong new collagen structure. Importantly, Sculptra does not provide immediate volume after injection; the volume gained is from the body's own gradual creation of new collagen.

  • Outstanding Results and Suitable For

Sculptra is most outstanding in creating natural volume that has been lost and restoring overall skin structure. It is suitable for individuals with significant overall facial volume loss, such as hollow cheeks, sunken temples, tired-looking under eyes, or those who want to restore overall skin structure to be stronger and want to contour the face to look fuller naturally in the long term. The results from Sculptra will gradually become apparent and are not seen immediately like fillers, but the results are volume and firmness from your body's own collagen, which looks very natural, and no one knows what was done, but you feel you look better and younger.

  • Popular Treatment Areas and Important Notes

Commonly used in areas with volume loss, such as hollow cheeks, sunken temples, under eyes (that look tired/sunken), jawline area (to help support structure), or throughout the face to restore overall skin structure. Important note: Sculptra is not suitable for injecting directly into areas with a lot of movement and permanent deep folds, such as nasolabial folds or marionette lines, as there may be a risk of lumps or unevenness. However, it can be injected in surrounding areas for support under physician's assessment.

  • Time to See Results and Duration

Results from Sculptra will start to show slight changes in 1-2 months after injection and will gradually become fully apparent in 3-6 months. The results last for an average of 1-2 years or even longer than 2 years, making it a worthwhile investment for long-term skin.

  • Popular Treatment Areas

Commonly used in the mid and lower face, such as temples, cheeks (to help lift), jawline, and can be used in other areas under physician's assessment.

2. Radiesse: Dual Action Biostimulator... Immediate Filling + Long-lasting Collagen Stimulation

Radiesse: Dual Action Biostimulator... Immediate Filling + Long-lasting Collagen Stimulation
Radiesse: Dual Action Biostimulator... Immediate Filling + Long-lasting Collagen Stimulation
  • Active Substance and Specific Properties

Radiesse contains Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) Microspheres, small particles suspended in a water-based gel. CaHA is a mineral naturally found in our bones and teeth, so it is highly biocompatible.

  • In-depth Mechanism (Dual Action)

Radiesse has an interesting two-step mechanism (Dual Action).

  • Action 1 - Immediate Volumization

When Radiesse is injected into the skin layer, the water-based gel immediately fills the volume in the injected area, providing immediate visible change in fullness and making deep folds appear shallower right after the procedure. (This is similar to fillers and is what differentiates Radiesse from Biostimulators that don't provide immediate volume).

  • Action 2 - Long-term Biostimulation

The CaHA Microspheres in the gel stimulate Fibroblast cells to begin the process of creating new collagen. CaHA acts like a temporary "scaffold" for cells to attach to and build collagen. Over time, the gel is gradually absorbed, but the CaHA Microspheres and the new Type I and Type III collagen created by the body remain, providing long-term support and strengthening the skin structure.

  • Outstanding Results and Suitable For

Radiesse is suitable for individuals who want immediate volume filling results along with collagen stimulation for longer-lasting and more natural-looking results. It is suitable for addressing problems like nasolabial folds, marionette lines, defining the jawline (Jawline Contouring), or using injection techniques in deep layers to help lift the face (Vector Lifting) in individuals with mild to moderate sagging. It can also be used on the back of the hands that are starting to show wrinkles and prominent veins.

  • Time to See Results and Duration

Immediate filling results from the gel are visible, and results from collagen stimulation will gradually become apparent in several weeks to months after the procedure. The overall results from Radiesse last for an average of 1 year or more, depending on individual response and the treated area.

  • Popular Treatment Areas

Nasolabial folds, marionette lines, chin area (for shaping), jawline, sunken temples, back of hands.

3. Profhilo: Biostimulator for "Skin Quality"... Skin Looks Plump, Firm, and Glows from Within

Profhilo: Biostimulator for "Skin Quality"... Skin Looks Plump, Firm, and Glows from Within
Profhilo: Biostimulator for "Skin Quality"... Skin Looks Plump, Firm, and Glows from Within
  • Active Substance and Specific Properties

Profhilo contains 100% high-purity Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Complex, using two sizes of Hyaluronic Acid (High-molecular-weight and Low-molecular-weight) that undergo Bio-compatible Thermal Cross-linking, a special technique that results in an HA Complex with low viscosity and is not Cross-linked like in traditional HA fillers.

  • In-depth Mechanism

When Profhilo is injected into the dermis using the specific 5 BAP (Bio Aesthetic Point) injection technique per side of the face (points calculated to be safe and distribute well) or in other areas, Profhilo does not remain as a lump but gradually spreads throughout the skin layer of the injected area quickly and evenly. This HA Complex stimulates Fibroblast cells to work actively to create new collagen (especially Type I and Type III), elastin, and Hyaluronic Acid in the skin layer. This is remodeling of the skin structure in the dermis layer directly.

  • Outstanding Results and Suitable For

Profhilo does not focus on volume filling like traditional HA fillers. It focuses on "rejuvenating overall skin quality", making the skin look plump and hydrated from within (Hydro Effect), firmer (Lifting Effect from collagen/elastin creation), more elastic, and naturally glowing. It is suitable for individuals with dry and dehydrated skin, skin that looks tired and dull, mild sagging, small wrinkles throughout the face, or those who want to improve overall skin quality to look healthier.

  • Time to See Results and Duration

Results from Profhilo start to show slight changes in 2-3 weeks and will gradually become fully apparent in 1-2 months after the procedure. The results last for approximately 6-8 months. It is recommended to continue treatment as advised by the physician (e.g., 2 sessions spaced 1 month apart, and repeating every 6-12 months) to maintain good skin rejuvenation results.

  • Popular Treatment Areas

Entire face (using the 5 BAP point technique), neck, back of hands, upper arms.

4. Juvelook: Biostimulator for "Skin Work"... Addresses Pores, Acne Scars, Fine Wrinkles, Under Eyes, and Stimulates Collagen

  • In-depth Mechanism (Dual Action Focusing on Skin Work)

Juvelook also works in a Dual Action way, but focuses on skin problems in the shallow and mid layers.

  • Action 1 - Immediate Effect from HA

Hyaluronic Acid in Juvelook helps fill and provide hydration in the injected area immediately, making the skin look plump and small wrinkles appear shallower temporarily.

  • Action 2 - Long-term Stimulation from PDLLA

PDLLA Microspheres stimulate Fibroblast cells to create new collagen. The PDLLA in Juvelook has specific properties suitable for injection in relatively shallow skin layers, allowing it to effectively address skin quality problems.

  • Outstanding Results and Suitable For

Juvelook is very outstanding in improving skin quality. It is suitable for individuals with enlarged pores, atrophic acne scars, fine wrinkles throughout the face, under-eye problems such as hollow eye sockets, dark under-eye wrinkles, or those who want the overall skin to look smoother, more refined, and firmer from collagen creation.

  • Time to See Results and Duration

Immediate results are visible from the HA, with plumpness and shallower wrinkles, and results from collagen stimulation will gradually become apparent in 1-2 months after the procedure. Results last for an average of 1 year or more, depending on individual response and the problem addressed. Continuous treatment is often recommended to maintain good skin rejuvenation results.

  • Popular Treatment Areas

Entire face, cheek pores, acne scars, under eyes, neck, back of hands.

Biostimulator vs. Filler: Not the Same! Know Before... Choose Correctly!

One of the common misconceptions I encounter, and where many people get confused, is the difference between Biostimulators, collagen stimulators, and Dermal Fillers, or what we call simply Filler. Many might see them as similar because they are injected into the skin and make the skin look fuller, but in reality, these two are completely different!

As a physician specializing in aesthetic medicine at Entrio Clinic, Aesthetic Clinic Ratchaprasong, I want everyone to "know before" understanding these differences so that you can "choose" the procedure that is "correct" for your problems and goals.

Biostimulator vs. Filler: ไม่เหมือนกันนะครับ! รู้ก่อน... จะได้เลือกถูก!
Biostimulator vs. Filler: Not the Same! Know Before... Choose Correctly!

Key Differences That I Want Everyone to Understand

  1. Mechanism of Action: Root Cause vs. Symptom?

    • Filler (Dermal Filler)

Imagine filler (especially HA or Hyaluronic Acid filler) like "bricks" or "ready-made filling material". When injected into the desired area, such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines, or sunken areas, the filler immediately "fills the gap" or "supports" the tissue in that area. This provides immediate results in increased volume or shallower deep folds after the injection. The main mechanism is adding volume from "external substance" that we inject. Most fillers gradually degrade naturally over time (which varies depending on the type and density of the filler).

  • Biostimulator (Liquid Thread or Collagen Stimulator)

In contrast, Biostimulators do not focus on immediate filling with external substances. Biostimulators are like "Fibroblast Power Awakeners" or "excellent raw material" that, when injected into the skin layer, "stimulates" Fibroblast cells, which are our skin's own factories for producing collagen and elastin, to work actively again and "create new collagen and elastin on their own" naturally. Results in terms of volume, firmness, or skin rejuvenation are therefore not immediate but will gradually become apparent following the body's collagen creation process, which takes several weeks to months.

  1. Simple Comparison

    • Filler (Dermal Filler)

Is like "repairing" a deteriorating skin building by bringing "bricks" or "ready-made materials" to fill in the damaged parts (addresses the symptom, provides immediate results).

  • Biostimulator (Liquid Thread or Collagen Stimulator)

Is like "building a brick factory" and "stimulating the workers (Fibroblasts) to produce bricks" to repair and strengthen the skin building on its own continuously (addresses the root cause, results are gradual but more sustainable).

  1. Composition: Different... So They Work Differently!

    • Filler (Dermal Filler)

The main active substance in most popular fillers is Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This is a substance naturally found in the skin. HA in fillers undergoes "Cross-linking" or molecular linking to make it stable, viscous, and last longer in the tissue. Different levels of Cross-linking result in fillers with various properties and viscosities, suitable for filling in different skin layers and depths (e.g., fillers for lips, under eyes, cheeks, or facial contouring).

  • Biostimulator (Liquid Thread or Collagen Stimulator)

Has a wide variety of active substances; it is not Cross-linked HA, and most are in the form of small "particles" or "molecules" with specific properties for stimulation. Key Biostimulators include:

  • PLLA (Poly-L-Lactic Acid): A synthetic polymer in particle form, like in Sculptra.

  • CaHA (Calcium Hydroxylapatite): A mineral in small particle form, like in Radiesse.

  • HA Complex: Non-Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid in a special form that focuses on spreading and stimulation, like in Profhilo.

  • PDLLA (Poly D,L-lactic Acid): A synthetic polymer in particle form, like in Juvelook (which is mixed with HA as well).

  • Non-Cross-linked HA + CaHA: Like in Definisse Hydrobooster.

These different active substances affect the stimulation mechanism, the nature of the results, and the duration of the results.

  1. Timing of Results: Immediate vs. Gradual

    • Filler (Dermal Filler)

The key advantage is immediate results after injection. Deep folds appear shallower, and the volume in the desired area increases, allowing for quick correction of specific problems. Suitable for those who need fast results.

  • Biostimulator (Liquid Thread or Collagen Stimulator)

Results are not immediate but will gradually become apparent following the body's collagen and elastin creation process. Slight changes usually start to be seen in 1-2 months and become fully apparent in 3-6 months or longer, depending on the type and number of sessions. The advantage of gradual results is that they look very natural, without appearing suddenly changed.

  1. Nature of Results: Specific Filling vs. Overall Rejuvenation

    • Filler (Dermal Filler)

Focuses on precise volume filling in the desired area. For example, filling nasolabial folds, under eyes, lips, augmenting the chin, focusing on correcting specific problems or contouring the face to desired proportions.

  • Biostimulator (Liquid Thread or Collagen Stimulator)

Focuses on rejuvenating overall skin quality and creating volume from the body's own tissue. Results usually spread in the injected area, making the overall skin firmer, more elastic, and with more natural-looking volume. Some Biostimulators (such as Juvelook, Morpheus8 - which is RF Microneedling but has similar properties to Biostimulators in skin remodeling) can also improve other skin quality problems such as pores, acne scars, and fine wrinkles.

  1. Longevity of Results: Temporary vs. Long-lasting

    • Filler (Dermal Filler)

Results are temporary. The duration depends on the type of filler, density, injected area, and individual factors. Generally, HA fillers last from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the product.

  • Biostimulator (Liquid Thread or Collagen Stimulator)

Since it stimulates the body to create collagen and elastin on its own, results often last longer than traditional fillers. On average, results last from 1 year up to 2 years or more (such as Sculptra, Radiesse, Juvelook). Profhilo and Hydro Deluxe may last slightly shorter, but are still considered relatively long-lasting compared to some fillers that focus on hydration.

  1. Suitable Candidates and Treatment Goals:

    • Filler (Dermal Filler)

Suitable for individuals who want quick correction of specific volume loss, want to fill deep folds, contour the face, augment the chin, fill lips or under eyes, and desire immediate results.

  • Biostimulator (Liquid Thread or Collagen Stimulator)

Suitable for individuals who want to rejuvenate overall skin health, want firmer skin, natural-looking and long-lasting volume. Suitable for individuals with overall facial volume loss or those who want to address other skin quality problems as well (depending on the type of Biostimulator).

"Know Before" Choosing Correctly... Start with Consulting an Experienced Physician!

From all the differences I have explained, it is clear that Biostimulators and Fillers have completely different roles and properties. They are not the same and cannot always be used interchangeably. In many cases, Combination Therapy using both Fillers and Biostimulators together may provide even better results than using only one.

  • Use Filler First: To address significant volume loss or deep folds for immediate results.

  • Follow with Biostimulator: To stimulate the body to create collagen and elastin to reinforce the skin structure in the long term, making the results from Filler look more natural and last longer.

Deciding which type of Biostimulator to use, whether to use Filler as well, or whether to combine with other procedures such as Botulinum Toxin (Botox) to reduce dynamic wrinkles or various lifting machines (Ulthera Prime, Oligio, Morpheus8) to address deep sagging skin, requires assessment of your skin condition, actual problems, expectations, and lifestyle by an experienced physician only!

Why Biostimulator at Entrio Clinic, Aesthetic Clinic Ratchaprasong? "Dr. Nono Challenges You to Prove" Quality and Results!

Now that we have delved deep into understanding Biostimulators, collagen stimulators, and their difference from Fillers, an important question that many may have in mind is, "If I want to do Biostimulator, where should I do it?" or "Why choose Entrio Clinic for the Biostimulator Program?"

As the founding physician and personally caring for patients at Entrio Clinic, Aesthetic Medical Clinic in the heart of Ratchaprasong, I would like to "challenge you to prove" our commitment and dedication to offering quality Biostimulator programs and providing the best results to our patients. Here's why Entrio Clinic is a trustworthy choice for skin rejuvenation and youthful baby skin programs with Biostimulators.

1. Experience and Deep Understanding by Experienced Physicians

  • Understanding the Science of Biostimulation

Choosing to use collagen stimulators is not just about knowing the product names. It requires understanding their complex working mechanisms at the cellular level, tissue response, and various factors that affect collagen stimulation. Dr. Nono at Entrio Clinic has direct knowledge and experience in using each type of Biostimulator, truly understanding the differences in how each active substance (such as PLLA in Sculptra, CaHA in Radiesse, HA Complex in Profhilo, PDLLA in Juvelook, CaHA + HA in Definisse Hydrobooster) interacts with tissue and stimulates collagen creation.

  • Holistic Skin Problem Assessment

Each person's face has different structural problems. Some may have volume loss due to a combination of fat and collagen breakdown. Some may have primary problems with skin quality, pores, or scars. Detailed assessment by an experienced physician will help us accurately diagnose the root cause of the problem and select the most suitable type of Biostimulator or plan Combination Therapy to address complex problems precisely.

  • Precise and Meticulous Injection Technique

Injecting Biostimulators requires correct and precise technique, choosing the appropriate skin layer, and even distribution of the substance so that the Biostimulator can stimulate Fibroblast cells effectively and reduce the risk of side effects. With the experience and techniques of the physicians at Entrio Clinic, you can be confident in safe care that provides the best results.

2. Variety and Quality of Carefully Selected Biostimulator Programs

  • Diverse Programs... To Address All Problems

Entrio Clinic does not have just one type of Biostimulator. We have selected leading collagen stimulators for you to choose from: Sculptra, Radiesse, Profhilo, Juvelook, Definisse Hydrobooster, and other related programs. This variety is a significant advantage because it allows the physician to choose a Biostimulator or program with specific properties that truly suit the individual patient's skin problem, desired treatment area, and expected results. It is not about using "one size fits all," which may not always provide the best results.

  • Quality, Standardized Products That Can Be Scanned and Verified

Entrio Clinic places the highest importance on using quality, standardized products for all procedures. Especially for collagen stimulators, which are programs that require product credibility, you can be confident that the Biostimulators used at Entrio Clinic are genuine products that can be verified for safety and the best results.

3. Personalized Treatment Plan for Results That Are Truly "Right" for You

  • Detailed Assessment Before Treatment

Every case at Entrio Clinic begins with a detailed consultation with an experienced physician. The physician will take time to understand your skin problems, health history, lifestyle, and, importantly, your expectations for the results. We will meticulously assess your skin condition, facial structure, and areas of concern.

  • Treatment Plan Tailored Specifically for You

Based on the assessment, we will design a Biostimulator treatment plan specifically tailored for you. This may involve using only one type of Biostimulator (e.g., Sculptra for overall facial volume loss, Profhilo for overall skin quality rejuvenation, Juvelook for skin texture and under eyes) or Combination Therapy using multiple types of Biostimulators together in different areas or combining with other programs.

  • Combination Therapy for Perfect Results

At Entrio Clinic, we believe in the power of Combination Therapy. Biostimulator programs can be combined with other procedures to enhance their strengths and address problems comprehensively, such as

  • Program Biostimulator + Filler

To immediately fill significant volume loss with Filler and reinforce skin structure in the long term with Biostimulator.

  • Program Biostimulator + Botulinum Toxin (Botox)

To reduce dynamic wrinkles and rejuvenate skin quality/volume with Biostimulator.

  • Program Biostimulator + Lifting Machines (Ulthera Prime, Oligio, Morpheus8)

To lift deep and shallow skin structure and rejuvenate skin quality/volume with Biostimulator.

  • Program Biostimulator + Localized Fat Reduction Program

To reduce excess fat volume and help tighten skin that may be loose after fat reduction.

Planning this type of Combination Therapy requires the discretion and experience of a physician to plan for beautiful, natural, and most worthwhile results.

4. Focus on "Natural" and "Sustainable" Results

  • Beauty That Comes from Within

Biostimulator programs work by stimulating the skin to create its own collagen. The results are therefore very natural, blending seamlessly with the skin, without looking lumpy or "overdone". This is the aesthetic philosophy at Entrio Clinic where we believe in Refined Aesthetic Experience, beauty that comes from caring for healthy skin naturally.

  • Worthwhile Long-term Investment

Although results are not immediate, Biostimulators provide results that last longer than traditional fillers. It is a long-term investment in healthy skin, helping to slow down skin deterioration and maintain youthfulness for longer.
